Problem saving to excel
In using the walher extensions and saving a web report to an excel file
sometimes produces a file such as D6Ad7000 and the like that are 1k in
size without any data. Have been able to recover the temp excel file
(MSO17E.xls) so all was not lost.
The SaveAs button shows the naming of the file and the file type, and
the data looks ok in the html form. This user can go for several weeks
without a problem, then it happens for several reports. Re-booting
usually fixes the problem.
The question is if you have any ideas where I can start to find the a
solution and if anyone else has had any similar problems.
Thanks,
Dave Allen

I am assuming that the problem is on the server machine - that the serevr
has the files
without any data and has to be rebooted?
Perhaps the application is running out of memory/resources. (or perhaps the
machine is running out of disk space for the files - but seems less likely).
Try running the server app under a tool that detect memory/resource leaks.
