special characters, extra button
hi,
when using the next / previous buttons to move to another page. Special
characrters are turning in to garbage. Think of the euro sign ? and
characters like ?,? etc. etc. When i use page=2 in the url the page is
shown correct.
any suggestion where to look? When printing to pdf all pages are correct.
Something like this is printer in stead of the euro sign: ????s??
????s?? 18,90 ????s?? ????s?? 18,90 ????s?? ????s?? 18,90 ????s??
is there a way to create an extra "custom" button in the report navigator
frame after refresh to put a link in to an other page. For example the home
page?
thnx in advance

1. For an example of adding a button to the preview toolbar, see
RBServer\Demos\Web Tier\Custom Viewer. The example includes commented code
and a ReadMe.doc
2. I researched the euro symbol issue. In my testing here using RB 9.02, the
euro symbol at first appears properly. However, when I use any of the zoom
controls, the page is regenerated and I get the result that you describe
(i.e. ????s??). After some research I notice that if I use Windows Explorer
to navigate to the web cache and open the 0001.html file (i.e. page 1), then
the euro for the zoomed page is displayed correctly in my browser. At this
point I do not know why this is happening. Perhaps a difference in which the
page is loaded from the javscript running in the browser.
I also found the following article via google and it contains some
suggestions for displaying the euro in html pages.
