Could this be a problem with Report Builder?

edited October 2002 in General
We use Delphi 6 and ReportBuilder 6.03 on Windows 98SE.
(Perhaps you'll find that this is not the right place to expose this
message, but sincerely we'll appreciate you opinion)

We have the following problem when printing to a dot matrix printer
(epson LX-300). Sometimes (it appears to be randomly) system crashes,
showing up a "spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module spoolss.dll at
address 0167:7fab7a8d". Yes, I know it's probably a windows problem, but we
cannot make it work properly, and the only thing that remain us to consider
is the printing engine. We have found that with a certain configuration this
error disappears, but many times a printing job gets colapsed into the
spooler, and printer stops working until this job is cancelled.

If you know a better place to expose this please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using the latest printer driver for the Epson? Can you test with
another printer to see if you get the same results? Try using the generic
windows dot matrix driver to test with as well.

    Hi Chaopula,

to let those 'invalid page fault' (which in fact is a pure Windows problem) disappear you have to change the windows version -> use NT, W2K or XP.
