RB and TeeChart support

edited January 2003 in General
Report Builder Pro 6.02 supports TeeCharts directly. Well almost, you are
required to buy TeeChart Pro for it to work. Ok, we buy TeeChart Pro 6, I
install it, and Delphi 6 opens fine. I am good to go with Report Build? No!
The TeeChart icons are gone from the tool pallet. I regroup and uninstall
both Teechart and RB Pro. Then I reinstall TeeChart. Guess what? When I
install RB the option for TeeChart support is grayed out.

I see in this news group from Jim Bennett of Digital Metaphors that RB 7.01
was released to support TeeChart 5.02.

What version of TeeChart does RB 6.02 support?

Do I really have buy an upgrade to RB to use TeeChart 5.02?

If yes, When will RB 7 support TeeChart 6 and will that cost me more money?

Access the Delphi help. Select ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart. There are
topics there that contain details about RB TeeChart support for each version
of Delphi. For each Delphi version ReportBuilder supports at least 2
versions of TeeChart. The TeeChart versions that is included with Delphi and
    a registered version.

RB 7.01 was released prior to TeeChart 6 and therefore does not contain
TeeChart 6 support. TeeChart 6 support will be added to a future maintenance
release - no date has been announced.

    RB 7 includes.....

    - support for Delphi 5, Delphi 6 and Delphi 7.
    - years worth of fixes and enhancements (i.e. since RB 6.x)
    - new features
    - on going maintenance releases, patches, enhancements
