Multiple printers - problem printing

edited March 2003 in General
Hi!

I'm using RBuilder 6.03 & Delphi5 for printing reports.
One of the computers is using 3 printers:
- 2 local printers
SATO CL 408 sticker-printer
Epson LX 300
- 1 network printer
HP LaserJet 5Si

If I set up windows so that 5Si is the default printer, the reports
come out all right, but if I set SATO CL as default, they are
printed landscape instead of portrait or heavily clipped... (approx.
1/16 of page is used, etc...) Weird!

Other workstations using multiple (but more similar :)) printers
don't experience this problem.

RB 6.03 had a problem if you previewed a report with the default printer,
and then changed the printer when printing the report, the report would not
be regnerated for the new printer. This is a problem because each printer
has a different printable area and can cause pagination problems. Try
testing with RB 7.01 trial edition to see if the problem goes away (the
problem I mentioned has been fixed in the RB 7.0 release). Also make sure
you are using the latest printer drivers for your printers.
