ppIMage is black rectangle

edited March 2003 in General
Since I updated my RB to RB 7.02 (now on RB Ent 7.02) one of my
users printing behaviour has changed. They now have the lates
print driver for their OKIPage 14ex but still have the same
problem.

I am printing a letter head and loading a jpg into a ppImage at
runtime. One document prints this fine, but all the others print
the image faintly on the first page and as a black rectangle on
the second and subsequent pages.

I have tried using all 4 combinations of DirectDraw and Visible
and also making fitting exactly to the band or leaving space
aroun the edges. The settings for the one document that works
are exactly the same.

They, of course, blame the update I just sent them but I am at
my wits end as to how to fix this. My other 200 odd users do not
experience this problem. I agree it is printer specific but what
changed?

It may be a limitation of the resources on the printer/OS. Does the report
work on any other printers? Can you generate to an intermediate archive file
and use a simple test application that uses an TppArchiveReader to print the
report? This would take your application out of the equation at runtime as a
cause of resource limitations. Try running Sleuth QA Suite or Automated QA
to view any resource leaks that may be eating up the ability to render the
    bitmaps.
