D7 Update problems
Since the D7 Upde I have had problems trying to re - install RB.
Everything goes fine until it tries to open the file \help\D7.ohl at which
point the installer complains that it cant open the file.
I have checked my Path, and Environment variables and everything seems fine.
I can manually open edit and save the file.
ANy help great.

Article: Delphi.OHL Could Not Be Opened
--------------------------------------------
Q: I tried to install ReportBuilder, but I received an error: "The file
c:\Program Filrs\Help\Delphi7.ohl" could not be opened".
A: Possible causes of this problem are:
1. Delphi is not installed.
2. Delphi was installed as a "compact" installation and thus the Delphi help
files are not installed.
3. Each ReportBuilder installation program is designed to work for a
specific Delphi version. For example, you cannot install ReportBuilder for
Delphi 7 into Delphi 6. You need ReportBuilder for Delphi 6.
To work around this problem, please uninstall Delphi and reinstall by using
Custom or Typical installations for Delphi. Then run the appropriate RB
installation program for your Delphi version.

the file in question exists And, I can open, Edit, and Save in Notepad.
I have done at least three full reinstalls to try and get around this
problem.
I think that the installer is for some reason looking at the wrong root
directory ???
I thinkI have an environment variable problem, but cant for the life of me
spot it.
Thanks,
Tony
I took a look at the installation scripts and it looks like it will look in
the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE for the instalation directory of Delphi 7, then using
the value, look for the D7.ohl file in the {Delphi}\Help\... directory. I
am unsure why it would not find the correct file unless the value in the
registry key is set to a directory other than the one you have Delphi 7
installed. Be sure your Delphi path is correct in your registry by
navigating (using regedit) to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Delphi\7.0\rootdir key. Then navigate
to this directory and look in side the \Help\... directory for the D7.ohl
file.
