accessing other subreports.

I have a report with 4 subreports.
I want to be able to access a sum of data in one subreport and use it in a
calculation in another subreport.

I cant seem to figure out how to get my rap code to see other subreports if
in a subreport.
Any advice or code samples?

I seemed to have solve my problem by using a global variable.
However im still curios if there is a way to directly get a values between
subreports.
