Just found the thread where new features are described.

Perhaps the problem is that DM has not adequately explained the issues

I'm not pretty sure about this: i purchased RB Pro 6 before August 2001. It
makes the major version life-time longer than a year.

Please note that I have no issues with your product per se (we like it) and
my Borland post was as even handed as I could make it all things considered.

So other developers will be aware of this "policy" I have posted all the
threads verbatim on this subject (except for this one) to the

To say we are displeased with this policy statement is a massive
understatement! We did not know at the time of our RB6.03 product purchase
in April 2002 that it was your company's policy … -
I tried that but I must do something wrong. Look at the following source

Few questions,
Does RB Enterprise V7 support D5? I may upgrade to D7 but D6 offered nothing

Not really I would be likely to pay for an upgrade of 6.03 enterprise
(bug-fixes, new features etc.) being compatible with Delphi 5 however. Just
out of luck or ???

Okay.. Well I was hoping to break the Query Builder section as an individual

I'm a D5 user also, and I wish there was another minor version release
before the jump to 7.0. There are several fixes promised that would be nice

Thanks for being so responsive!
Can understand about the server version needs. There are still a lot of
non-server D5 apps using RB so this is fine.

Thank you !

we are still using D5 too.
Major development (without RB) is still under D3
due to component issues.

I am a D5 user with no desire to go D6 or D7 too!

Hello,
I do not get any messages in the tech-tips newsgroup.

Johnnie,
RAP and TppVariable's calculation might fail.
You should use the designer in runtime environment.

What calculations can I be doing with NULL values in the report designer? I
assumed all calculations were done only at run-time. Even with that, I
commented out every bit of code in the form I have the report placed on and
the error…Hi Johnnie,
I guess you are doing some calculations with NULL values.
When you call the report inside the designer it will stop and show you where
the calculation fails.
