Just installed RB 11.02, what happened to IBO support?

edited December 2008 in General
Hi, I cannot build my project after a seamingly perfect install of RB11.02
D2007.

In one of my reports I get:
[DCC Error] DetReport.pas(7): F2051 Unit ppBarCode2DDrawCmd was compiled
with a different version of ppComm.TppCommunicator.GetComponentDesigner

I suspect this has to do with IBO support being missing.

I cannot find the RBuilder\Demos\EndUser Database\Interbase\IBO directory,
I usually have to use to get the RBIBO package to work.

Please help.

Regards

RB 11 demos are installed to the following location:

    Windows XP: Shared Documents\RBuilder

    Windows Vista: Public Documents\RBuilder

The RB 11 install program displays the default location and it can be
    overidden.

This sounds more like a corrupt install. I would check the Delphi library
path and search your machine for occurencess of ppComm.*

    Thanks Nard.

When you search Computer on Vista, doesn't search everywhere, and missed
    that one in PUBLIC!

I then installed it OK, and still getting the error .. so something still
    hanging around somewhere?

Well I 've done an exhaustive search for ppComm.dcu and pas, and only 1 file
of each in the Lib folder and Source folders
    Of CodeGear\Rad Studio\5.0\RBuilder\Lib and..Source
    The ppComm.dcu 2008/12/18 07:02pm
    The ppComm.pas 2006/06/07 07:02pm

I checked my paths, no other references to old RBuilder installs.
There are no other ppComm files hanging around.
I do have D2007, and D2009 installed, and these two files in
..6.0\RBuilder\Lib and .. Source, same date time stamp.

    Any pointers?
    Thanks

    Gothcha!!

Sorry Nard. You sent me a Patch for the ppBarCode2DDrawCmd, and I unzipped
this in one of my other projects .. also in the path, and it was picking
these files up. I've removed them, and they are only in there default
    locations now.
Sorry for the bother, and thanks for helping with IBO.

    Regards
