Access Violations again

edited January 2009 in General
Sirs

I have just spent some time with a Customer who was complaining very
bitterley about our application crashing everywhere.

I also have just received a further email from another customer who is also
formally complaining about our application for exactly the same reason.

Following your advice to reload the 11.02 (this newsgroup 29/12/08), on
03/01 I uninstalled RB and downloaded a new build (which for my convenience
I titled rbserv11.11.02.01.2007.exe to differentiate it from earlier 11.02
builds). I installed this new build but I am still getting Access
Violations all over the place as illustrated below.

|Address |Module |Unit |Class

Can you please urgently advise

1. How to stop the above.
2. How do I check to ensure that I have the correct build/version
installed - just incase I have made an installation error.

The credit crunch may not be affecting you, but I am noticing that as
customers are placed under financial pressures when errors occur they become
very aggressive about such matters, it is one more issue that they do not
need to worry about, so I would appreciate your urgent attention

    Hi

Forgot to mention - whilst the users all did have Outlook open, the access
violations seemed to occur when their phone system rang and performed a
screen pop to show them who was calling.

We were in the middle of a large batch print of invoices, phone rang, access
violation occurred, batch run stopped dead, result very upset accountant and
    angry boss.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

There is patch available for RB 11.02 that corrects this issue. (Finally had
a customer confirm yesterday that the patch resolves the issue).
