Access Violation Exiting App

Hi,

I recently upgraded to version 10.09 on D7. If I click the email icon
in the report preview window Outloook opens and attached the report.
No problem. But, when I access the application I always get an Access
Violoation. I went back to 10.04, 10.05, 10.07 and none of those
versions exhibit the problem. I also removed any addons but the
problem persists. Any ideas why earlier versions would work but not
10.09?

Hi Dexter,

This is not a known issue with RB 10.09. Are you able to recreate this
using the Email Demo located in the \Demos\1. Reports\... directory (demo
110)? Which SMTP plugin are you using to send emails?

I could not generate the error with the demo. I did download 11.03
trial and it seemed to work fine. Really strange. All versions
starting with 10.04 seemed to work except 10.09.

Another issue is running on Vista, when I click the email icon, Outlook
opens the new message window with the report attached. If I close the
email message I have an hour glass for 20-30 seconds before control is
returned to the app. That happens in any version I have tested. Not
an issue on XP.

I will decide whether to upgrade to 11.03 or just add a button and
write my own code to open Outlook and attach the report. I interface
with Outlook quite a bit and do not see any issues except using the
stock email functionality.
