TdaMetacache.Getfields error

When I am connected remoteley out database via the internet using the
Advantage database server, and I try to edit an end user template on my
local PC, when I click the Data tab and choose any of the buttons on my
dataview, I always get ths error

TdaMetacache.Getfields unable to find table xxx in cache

I am not actually logged into the network, but connected via tcp/ip so it
looks like a permissions problem, however the application itself runs fine
using the same data.
Is there something I can do ?
