Asta access to SQLAnywhere Database views

edited March 2002 in General
We have downloaded the latest Asta DADE plugin and are able to compile
and run the supplied Demo.. From this demo, in the ReportBuilder
designer we:
* select the Data tab:
* set the DataSettings
* select New and then the QueryDesigner.

The available tables that are displayed exclude any views that are
currently defined in the SQLAnywhere database. What do we need to do
to include the database views as part of the available tables.

We have managed to get the ReportBuilder working via ODBCExpress to
the SQLAnywhere database and have full access to the database tables
and views.

    Currently, views don't come through into DADE as tables. You'll have to
    modify your DADE plug in to get the method GetTableNames to return the
    views, along with the tables for your database. You say you have the
    ODBCExpress DADE plugin working for views? We haven't researched what it
    would take to get views to show up using the ASTA DADE plugin. You'll have
    to change the ASTA plugin to work with views.
