Patch for variant error on save didn't work
I still get "Invalid Variant type conversion" error when I try to save a
report after replacing the ppTypes.pas and ppDB.pas files as the patch and
rebuilding the project. I have made sure the library path is correct
(rbuilder\source) and verified that the .dcu files are being created fresh.
I also rebooted of course.
Environment :
Delphi 6 enterprise SP1
ReportBuilder Enter. 6.03
Windows 2000
Interbase express 6.03
I did notice that the time-date stamp on the 2 patch files were the same as
the files I was replacing (Monday, April 01, 2002, 4:55:14 PM and Friday,
March 01, 2002, 10:34:30 AM)
Anyone have any ideas? (I know there is a newer Delphi service pack, but as
I understand things it will cause me some grief with distribution to older
Win95 machines if I run it)

patch doesn't handle. We are still researching the issue. Thankyou for your
patience.

need be.
Also, we tried to use the IBO demo, but it will not build. It comes back
with an error "can't find IBDataset.dcu. When we try to compile the
rbIBO66.dpk (which I assume puts that file in), it says it says "the
required package IBO_6 not found". Is this a similar version problem that
we could correct by using an older version of IBObjects?
Thanks,
John
