Controlling Components wth WordWrap

I have reports where some of the field lengths require that WordWrap be set
to True. But most of the time the data in the fields does not require word
wrapping. When I place a TppDBText component on the report and double the
height so that two lines of wrapped text can fit in it every line is then
higher than it needs to be if the data does not need to wrap because it
takes only one line to display it. I think I must be missing something quite
basic, but how can I get the component to shrink to fit the one line so that
I do not get space between the lines where wrapping is not necesary? I would
really appreciate any help anyone can give me with this.

Use a TppDBMemo with Stretch set to True. The DBText will not stretch, but
rather is a fixed height control when word wrapping.
