New at using TeeCharts

edited July 2002 in General
Can anybody point me to some resources for how to use a TeeChart in
ReportBuilder?

I wanted to setup a chart in one of my reports and manually feed values into
each of two series I've created, but can't seem to find the right syntax for
RP to allow me to do that in RAP. I can do it in Delphi, but not in RB.
Are there any good demos out there I can look at?

There is not extensive support for TeeChart properties and methods in RAP.
Given your description, I would go with a RAP pass-thru function to set up
the series. RAP pass-thru function are fully explained in the RAP on-line
help and in the new Third Edition of the Developer's Guide...

    Tom,

Is it possible to setup a pipeline that isn't tied to a data table? I'm
getting the info I want to put in the chart from about a dozen pipelines,
but there's not any way I know of to put all that info into one pipeline
(it's totals of values broken out by quarters). Maybe if I could create a
"blank" pipeline, populate it with data through RAP, and then use that
pipeline as the datasource for the TeeChart...?

BTW, I'm using RB 5.0 Ent., if that makes any difference.

    Thanks!

You could use a TppTeeChart - the non-data-aware TeeChart. Then call a
pass-thru function from RAP which populates the series...
