RB6 or 7 designer never close itsef under win XP

edited February 2003 in General
Hi,
The designer (embded in my app) works great under NT4 or 2000, (built
with D6 or D7) but the same App under Win XP Pro will never close
itself! Both Menu:file/close or Alt+F4 doesnt work and I must kill the
application. Why and how can I correct this to make working my app abd
report Builder designer under Windows XP ?

Regards,
Michael

We use both Win2K and XP Pro. The designer closes just fine in both
environments. Can you reproduce this behavior using our installed end user
    demos?

Mmm, it works if I run a enduser demo and launch the designer, and then
    close it... it close itself.
Do you have an idea about why the designer doesnt close itself when it run
behind my application under windows XP ?
Is it an XP issue or a bad compilation... Ive built and run the enduser demo
on the same computer with the same delphi, so in the same environement that
    my application....

    regards,
    Michael

Can you compare the form properties and all form event handlers form your
project to our demo? Make a copy of your app. Then start eliminating pieces
of the app until the problem goes away. Then you'll know exactly what piece
was causing the problem. Then try to simplify the app by keeping the part
the broke it, and remove all the other stuff. Once you have a very simple
app, then try to reproduce it using our end user demo by emulating what your
app is doing in this case which causes the problem. Feel free to send a
modified end user demo to support@digital-metaphors.com
