Looking for an RB/TeeChart Expert

edited June 2003 in General
Hi all,

Not sure if this is appopriate here. If not, I hope the moderators
will just remove the message.

Trying to juggle a few different projects and a new dog (a mixed
metaphor, methinks), I have put myself in a bit of a time pickle. As a
result, I'm looking for an expert with RB 7.02, TeeChart Pro 6.02 and
Delphi 5.01 to produce a one-page report that includes data from four
interlinked databases in the form of Master-Detail1-Detail2A/Detail2B.
I will provide sample data and a PDF of the expected output. It is a
single page with several graphs and some connected word descriptions.

What I need is a report module that will produce the report, using
your choice of DBTeeChart or whatever other tricks you might want to
use. I do ask that the report be done as much as possible with code
rather than setting properties. If I'm paying for this outta my own
pocket, I'm hoping to learn a thing or two.

If you think you're qualified, have the time and want a bit of a
challenge, then email me with your rates and availability. I am
meeting with the client on Tuesday to settle on the exact sample data
to be used and a final version of the expected output.

A list of gotchas that I have seen so far ...

One of the graphs is a stacked series of bars (behind each other, not
on top), Some of the differentials are small enough that putting the
labels ON the bars obfuscates that complete layer.

The bars will have to be patterned according to a set of pattern
bitmaps. i.e. If value='Semi-Solid' then
pattern_to_be_loaded='Set03.BMP'

A slice in those stacked series bars might be small, but the text
description that will go in the section to its right might be large.
Thus, intelligent bracketing is necessary. i.e.

Have I scared you off yet? If not, I hope you can help me out
and make a few bucks doing so. Thanks GM
