RB5Std Delphi 7

edited June 2003 in General
Hi all

My company bought RB5 standard. I now have D7 installed. I tried to
re-install RB5 but there was no option to have it install for D7.

So, what is the next step?

I suspected that that would be the answer :-(

Time to look at Rave reports then I suppose. I just hope it isn't as bad as
    QuickReports was!

If you are going to evaluate RAVE, then the first thing you'll need to do is
to go download some patches to even use the Delphi bundled version of RAVE
out-of-the-box. Surf the RAVE newsgroups which Borland hosts for more
information. The first thing you should compare is the RAVE visual designer
to the ReportBuilder designer. I'm confident you'll see why ReportBuilder is
    superior!

Do you have RB 5 reports in apps that you want to move to D7? Upgrading to
RB 7 would mean you could easily convert your reports to RB 7 format, when
and if you go to Rave, you'll have to recreate those reports from scratch.
Please take the time to evaluate RB 7, as it has so many more features over
RB 5. Surf our website for more info on new RB 7 features.
