Why not a PageBreak command, more than hundred requests!
Hello,
Searching for a pagebreak method, I foun hundreds of question to
Digital-Metaphors for a method to force a pagebreak.
The only anwer is: use groups or section style subreports, but that's not
most of us wants. We don't want to by RbAddOn because we think it's not that
difficult to implement a pagebreak method (or is it?).
I really don't know why you guys dont give us a pagebreak method. Can
someone explain this.
Eric

Thank you for your suggestion.
In addition to using RBAddon's PageBreak, SubReports, and Groups to force
pagebreaks, you can also try calling DetailBand.OutOfSpace.

I tried using OutOfSpace and it seems to work fine.
The help files do not mention this property.
I did look in the rb source files and see you setting OutOfSpace for example
when the property "NewPage" is set.
Is it that easy to implement a PageBreak method which only thing to do is
setting OutOfSpace to true?
Eric
ps thanks for the tip, perhaps it's somethings for tech-tips newsgroup
Thanks for the suggestion. Using the OutOfSpace property is fine as long as
you are careful with TwoPass reports. Be sure that you are not breaking a
page in one pass and not the other.
