Line after the last detail band has printed on the page

My detail band has lines on the right and the left which are set to parent
height. This creates a nice line down the left and right hand sides of the
paper. My footer band has a line at the top set to parent width which
creates a nice line at the bottom before the footer print.

The problem is that if there is not enough room for a group to fit on the
page and it moves the last group to the next page the lines on the left and
right don't connect to the line at the top of the footer. Is there a way to
make this happen?

If not, is there a way I can print a line immediately after the last detail
band prints?

Hi Mark,

Below is an example that draws a line just after the last line in a detail
by creating a drawcommand and placing it in the proper position on the page.
