Pb with Group

edited October 2003 in General
Hello

I would like to print some lines with a count after information (subreport1
in a region). When this information is equal to 10, I don't add blank line
otherwise I must display a complement until to have 10 lines.
My result of the query give for example 4 results in my subreport (4 lines).
Afetr I would like to indicate 6 blank lines (to arrives to 10) with a count
on each line. I realize some groups with a RAP on beforeGroupBreak to
active the region to visible or not.
There is two pass and In the first pass my information are displaying (4
lines) and 9 blanks lines also (because when I have only one information I
must display 9 blank lines). This result are in two pages. And in the second
pass ReportBuilder recalculate and display the correct number of line (6)
but I have a blank page (due to the first calc). This second blank page is a
problem. I would like only one page!

Could you help me. Thanks

    Regine,

You should not use the first pass to make any calculations or alter the
report if you plan to do so if the second pass as well. This will usually
cause problems in the generation process. You will also not be able to find
out the detail line count in the first pass. As an alternative, I would
suggest trying a fixed subreport rather than toggling the visibility of a
    group.
