Re: Duplex Printing

edited December 2003 in General
Hi

I have a 6 page report (when previewed), which consists of each page being
'chained' together using subreports (sections) ie Main report contains
subreport 1, and the detail band of subreport 1 contains subreport 2 etc
etc....

I would like to duplex only some of the pages eg

Page 1 = single sheet ie nothing on the other side
Page 2 and 3 = double sided
Page 4 and 5 = double sided
Page 6 = single sheet ie nothing on the other side

Therefore 6 pages of the report (when previewed) become 4 sheets of paper
when printed.

Is it possible?

Thanks Lee

    1. Rather than nesting the sections with one another, an simpler approach is
to create a main report that has only a detail band (no header/footer). Then
place the sections in the detail band.

    main
    detailband
    section1
    section2
    section3
    etc.

    2. Section style subreports can have a different PrinterSetup than the
parent report. Access the workspace for each subreport and select File |
PageSetup. From the Page Setup dialog you can specify the duplex setting for
the section subreport. I created a simple test report with a configuration
like I describe in number 1 above. I created two sections. The first printed
a single title page and the second printed a two page duplex report.
