96 pixels per inch on screen... Can this be changed.
We are having trouble with bmp images in a report. When we print the bmp
from photoshop it prints exactly the way we want, exact size and everything.
But when we drop it onto the report it is way too big (922 X 266 screen
pixels). In photoshop it says 922 x 266 printer pixels. Why is report
builder thinking my image is this big? I am new to imaging, can someone
please explain?
Thanks in advance.

The way a bitmap works is each pixel contains a Red, Green, and Blue value
which is meant to be displayed on screen. Though PhotoShop may be assigning
a RGB value to each printer pixel, it could not possibly be showing you all
those pixels on screen because as you said, it's not showing up 922x266 in
PhotoShop. PhotoShop must have some logic to compress the image on screen
to give you an idea what it will look like on paper. This is most likely a
setting to give you the highest quality image for your printer (say if you
were printing photographs).
Unfortunately ReportBuilder is not as an advanced piece of imaging software
than PhotoShop and will only read images according to screen pixels. My
suggestion would be to change your PhotoShop resolution to Screen Pixels,
resize the image to the way you need it and save that to your report.
