Looking for a goo reporting solution

edited May 2004 in General
HI.

We currently use RB and are happy with it.

I have a requirement to embed word docs into my RB Reports. I b elieve that
the Word doc requirement can be handled adewuatly in RTF.

WHat I need is some way of createing/editing RTF docs in delphi components,
and some assurnace that they will be correctly displayed in RB. The features
I would require in the docs are Text and Text attributes (Fonts etc),
Tables, Pictures, and Drawings.

Taking this one step at a time, are there any Rich Text Data Aware
components I can source for use with RBuilder that will satisfy the
presantation aspect in the report ?

And the other part, what Rich Text editor tools are reccomended for this
sort of
usage, that I can embed into my Delphi Application.

Many thanks,

Tony.

I think WPTools works with RB. It has some pretty fancy editing
    capabilities.

so thought Id try elsewhere. Not keen to sepnd with a company that doesnt
    reply to a sales enquiry.

    Thanks anyway.

Personally I use TRichView rather than WPTools, but am not sure if it has a
RB interface. TRichView is pretty cool.

OK. I have heard really good things about TRichView. Il take a look at their
stuff, and see if they have something to plug into RB.

There is a TRichView Wrapper that enables TRichView to be used inside the
    ReportBuilder Report Designer
