How do you format currency values when doing a mail-merge in richedit?

How can you format currency values when using dollar amounts in a mail merge
type operation in the richedit text. We cannot get any formattting of
numeric values to go thru.

So we end up with 0 instead of 0.00
or 123456.78 instead of 123,456.78
or 123.4 instead of 123.40

We have set display formatting in the table field editor.

We are using 6.03 Enterprise.

Hi Bill,

There is currently not an automatic way to change the formatting of a mail
merge field. You will need to use the TppRichText.RichText property to
locate the position of the mail merge tag, then using the SelText property,
change the formatting of the number. Making this process easier is
definitely on our todo list for the next release of ReportBuilder.

Thank you for quick reply. But for your information.

Found that the RBAddon components we are currently using for printing
calendars includes a richtext component that makes the merge formatting very
easy. Does the currency and also formatting of dates. Made short work of
that problem.
