group header and detail on the same page

edited September 2004 in General
Hi,

I've seen this question here before on the forum, but the answer didn't
apply to me, so I'll ask it again for my situation.
In my report I have several groups and subgroups. Somewhat like this:

groupheader0
groupheader1
groupheader2
DETAIL
groupfooter2
groupfooter1
groupfooter0

What I would like to achieve is that groupheader1. groupheader2 and DETAIL
are on the same page.
It's ok if groupfooter2 and groupfooter1 are on the next page.
The problem is that now I sometimes have a header on one page, and then the
header is repeated on the next page together with the detail.
How do I get header and detail together without a "useless" header on the
previous page?

Thx,
Tom De Waele

    Hi Tom,

Check to be sure you do not have the Reprint Group Header On Subsequent
Pages option checked in the group dialog. Are you trying to keep each one
of these groups together individually? You may be able to increase the New
Page When less than option in the group dialog to get the effect you are
after. Remember that if you are using KeepTogether, try only using it with
the outer most group. If you need to keep together other items inside that
    group, use subreports and regions.
