Paper Size Question???
Hi,
I have developed many reports that are quite full and use up all the page
width and height using standard 81/2 by 11 paper.
I do not want to redesign them to be smaller to fit on A4 paper.
Does RB automatically scale the printout to fit the page if some wants to
use the slightly smaller A4 paper?? Can I just change the paper size at run
time??
I believe Adobe Reader can print a PDF and scale it to a different size
paper.
Thanks,
Austin

ReportBuilder 9 now contains Anchors for every report component. This
allows you to define where you would like an object to display on a page
regardless the size or orientation. For instance, if you have a page number
at the bottom left of your report and you change your paper size from 8.5x11
to A4, the page number will remain the same distance from the bottom left
corner if you have that anchor set.

Will this automatically resize the controls????
Lets say I have 10 detail controls side by side on an 8/12 by 11 paper size
and they are all full of data and take up the entire control width and all
the line.
If I change paper sizes to A4 will they cram together and overlap, or will
RB automatically scale everything down to fit on the page???
Thanks,
Austin
If you anchor each one of your components, they will all shift relative to
the edge of the paper. However, anchors will not affect the Width of your
report controls so if you are bunching them together to tightly, they could
possibly overlap.
