RB 9 Object Inspector

edited December 2004 in General
I have installed RB9 into Delphi 2005. I was told that the
documentation of the new "object inspector" was missing from the D&
version, so I looked for it in 2005. I still can find any documentation
on it, what it is, how to access it, etc. The only mention is in the
Whats New section.

So what is it and how do you use it?

Also, any plans to document it?

TIA

Mike

    Hi Mike,

The JVInspector is more or less identical to the Object Inspector in the
Delphi IDE. When you click on a report object in the designer (i.e. Band,
Label, Image, etc) the JVInspector will show the main editable properties of
that object in the same format that Delphi would if you clicked an object on
a form. It gives the user and/or the developer another way to alter the
properties of a report object easily. The JVInspector is part of the report
tree which can be accessed and docked to either side of the designer by
selecting the "Report Tree" option from the View | Toolbars main menu option
    in the designer.
