RB9 display format bugs

edited February 2005 in General
I am just looking at RB9 with D7 after working with RB7. There appears to
be problems when working with display formats.

1. In the designer if you right click on a DBText control and choose
DisplayFormat... and then pick a format from the popup dialog box, close the
box and then do the same again the format you selected is gone. The box is
empty again.

2. Looking at the new object inspector (that is joined to the report tree) I
see that in fact the display format has been set. Now if I try to set it
again here in the object inspector I use the "..." button and the popup
dialog is shown, I pick a format, press ok and the object inspector is not
updated. I have to move onto another property to see it updated.

3. If I edit the display format directly on the new object inspector by
typing in the text it does not store it at all ! If I move to another
property it is reset back to what it was before.

4. If I select more than one object at the same time and alter the display
format it only updates one object. This is a bit time consuming when I
have to alter many controls. This was also a problem in RB7.

Now these problems I can work around but I have an end user report designer
and my users will be confused I think.

Also it would be nice to have a function key to popup the new object
inspector like you can do with F11 for the Delphi inspector. Its in the way
most of the time but it needs to be popped up quickly.

    4. This is still on our todo list for a later release. Thanks for the
    feedback.
