Problems printing on HP Laserjet 2500n

edited May 2005 in General
XP Professional
Report Builder 6.03
HP Laserjet 2500n with latest drivers

When I print a multi page report only the first two pages are printed. This
happens with a range of reports which print fine on other printers. Using
wordpad or notepad to print a multi page document works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggetsions.

    Hi John,

Does this happen with every report you try to print? For instance, if you
try to print one of the RB demos located in the \RBuilder\Demos\...
directory, are you still getting this behavior? Is this the only printer
    this is happening with?

Unfortunately I do not have access to the printer as it is at acustomer's
site 400 miles away. It does happen with every report I try to print.

    Hi John,

This is not a known issue with ReportBuilder. The fact that you are able to
successfully print to other printers leads me to believe that this is a
printer issue. ReportBuilder sends the same Windows API commands to every
printer it prints to, which are first interpreted by the specific printer
driver and printed. The following diagram shows how ReportBuilder
    communicates with every printer:

ReportBuilder ==> Windows API ==> Printer Driver ==> Printer

Double check to be sure your clients are first using the correct printer
driver and second have the latest version of that driver.
