Report builde slowly to open and strange problem
Hi,
i have an application, and some reports with report builder.
When preview or print the first time the report, it's very very slow. The
second time is very quick. HOwever if i close the program the problem
occour.
I have search for virus, with f-secure, nod32 and norton. Now i have
unistalled antivirus.
I have see, that when i launch a report , whit command netstat -n that there
are some connection to another pc, in the port 139 net bios.
I have try install to another pc and all work fine !!

This is most likely a database or network issue. Is your data kept locally
or on a server? If is is kept on a server, try creating a sample app that
connects to data locally and see if the speed issue still exists. You may
also try testing with a different database to see if that is the bottleneck
as well.

the mysql server is installed on local machine.
But is strange for me see with netstat - n the port
1051.1237.1240.1243.1246.1253.1256.1259 etc time wait only when i preview
the first time.
I had think about a virus, because i'm using the same program in other pc
and other network and all work fine.
I'm sure that is some in windows xp pro sp2 that not work properly.
The problem, is in a configuration of a Lan Printer. The supervisor hardware
of this lan is a big idiot !!!!
