Reportbuilder and Express Printing System
Hi,
I have an application where I have used (to date) Reportbuilder for all my
reports. I have come across the need to be able to export grids (dynamically
created, and with varying columns), of which I have found that the Express
Print System to probably be better for this particular requirement.
The problem that I face, is that I would prefer the user to have only one
type of report or preview dialog to deal with / learn about. (As I feel it
looks messy for an application to have two 'types' of printing systems).
What I would like to do, is somehow copy the contents / canvas from
Express's Printing Suite across to Reportbuilder before the report is
printed / previewed, thus giving the end user the same report dialogs every
time.
Is anyone able to give me some advice on how / if this can be done, or
should I be looking at another solution?
Thanks & Regards
Adam Hair.

settings in Grid 3. I've thought about doing it for grid 4/5, but haven't
had the time and/or resources. It is no easy task--and would have
limitations, but you could probably achieve something decent. Send me an
email if you are interested in getting something developed for a 3rd party
market (dressel [at] annuitypeople dot com).
