Tee chart

?Hi ,
I am not able to understand the demo 92 of RB on dbteecart because at
design time the dataset is not visible in the chart editor and hence it
is not clear how X-axis and Y-axis are being assigned from the Database
fields.I think i am missing some setting or files because when i am
including the unit ppChrtDB in my program it is giving error. the error is
file not found:'iEditCha.dcu'
I am using RB 7 and teechart standard 4.04.

Hi Lucy,

Please see the TeeChart section in the ReportBuilder Reference of the
RBuilder.hlp file for full documentation on how to use TeeChart with
ReportBuilder.

If you are getting an 'IEdiSeri' or 'IEdiCha' error message when you try to
compile a project that contains TeeChart functionality, then TeeChart is
probably installed correctly. In order to get around these error messages
you must either compile your project with packages or purchase the
registered version of TeeChart from http://www.steema.com.

Hi Nico,
Thanks a lot for your help but still dbtee chart is not working. My
problem is that when i add a series and than try to view the dataset ,it
is not present there.Therefore i am, not able to create charts based on
database fields.
I am using delphi7,RB7 and teechart 4.04.
I saw the demo example .The chart is present but dataset is not
visible .I also checked the packages they are installed.Wat can be the
solution to this so that i can start making charts using dbteechart
component in RB.
One more thing this component is working correctly in Delphi.

TeeChart 4.04 is only partially functional at designtime. Please see the
TeeChart help in the ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi 7 |...
section of the ReportBuilder help.

If you want the ability to connect your teecharts to a datapipeline easily,
your best bet would be to upgrade your version of TeeChart to one fo the
versions listed on this help page as well.
