Has anyone tried this to support unicode?

I have an interbase database field wich contains Arabic Names. With a
function that translates characters from unicode to a charset i can
tranaslate the content of a field to an arabic charset. If i assign the
string to a pplabel with the arabic charset, will reportbuilder print those
names in arabic?
