Erratic behaviour of footer on first or penultimate page
Since upgrading from Ver 7 to Ver 10, I have been unable to get the footer
to behave correctly. This is a rather urgent issue, as the new version has
been deployed to clients, and needs to be fixed.
Previously I had it set to print on first page, and not print on last page.
If the report was only one page long, the summary would print on the first
page, and the footer would not print. This was correct behaviour.
$
Now, if after printing the last detail line, there is insufficient space on
the first page for BOTH the footer AND the summary, then the summary is
pushed to the next page. The footer is printed on page 1. The summary is
then the only thing to print on page 2.
This makes the system unusable for invoices and other trading documents.
How can I prevent this behaviour, and persuade the system that there is
enough space on page 1 for the summary?

We have not seen this behvior before and in my quick testing I was unable to
recreate the issue. Are you dynamically moving the summary band to align it
to the bottom? Are you able to recreate this with a simple example, perhaps
using the DBDEMOS database and a simple report? If so, please send the
example in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com and I'll take a look
at it for you.
