Division By Zero

edited December 2009 in General
Hi,

RB10.07.
In a customer any report that I try to preview raises an error indication
a division by zero.
I have no idea what it could be. The very same executable raises nothing
in other customers.

Thanks

    Hi Ricardo,

I first recommend updating your version of ReportBuilder to 10.09. Contact
info@digital-metaphors.com with your serial number for upgrade instructions.

Is there a certain report that is causing this error? Have you been able to
recreate the issue on your machine? If so, try tracing into the RB source
and see where the problem is. Also try commenting out all event code and
see if that solves the problem.

    Hi Nico,

    First thanks for your attention.
Every report, even without any event, is causing the same error in this
    client machine.
I was not able to reproduce it in my machin, with the same Database and
executable, i.e. the very same behaviour.
I´ll try updating it to 10.09 but there are some bureoucracies that makes
it slow for me to update the software in my customers.

    Thanks.

Try to find the differences between your machines that may be causing the
issue. At what point does the error occur? Are they able to print the
    report directly without previewing?

-They are not able to print without previewing.
-I´ve tryied to print to archive and the same error was raised
-I´ve created a new project in Delphi 7 with only a main form, a TppReport
and a button, on the click of the button I print the ppReport. Here it
works, on my client it raises the very same error.

When I say they are not able to print without previewing I mean the same
    error is raised.

One hole day making tests... and simply reinstalling one printer solved it
    all.

    Thanks

We had such a problem for instance on a notebook with a beamer
    connected.
With a certain beamer --> Division by zero on previewing a report
Without the beamer --> everything ok
