RB 15 Border Property

edited June 2013 in General
Good Morning,

Firstly, thank you very much for including my request for a borders
property in the bands! This is one function I have been wanting for
quite some time. Thank you very much!

I was just hoping it wouldn't be too much to request the same property
(or something similar) for Regions? (I'm aware that there is a PEN
property at the moment, but at present the only option is to have a
complete border on all 4 sides). The option to restrict this to only one
side would be great.

Also - whilst on the subject of the borders property - I was wondering
if there is a way to have the borders match up with other components.

At present, if I set the border of a detailed band, and in the header
band place a vertical line, at left position 0 the ppline in the header
appears thicker than the line in the detail band, and an obvious
difference between the two is visible.

If I change the details bands weight property from 0 to 1 (so both the
ppLine and Detail Bands border have the same weight of 1), then the
reverse occurs, and the detail bands border property appears thicker. I
seem to be unable to get both lines of the same weight, and get them to
line up so to speak.

Thanks & Regards

Adam.

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for the suggestion with Regions. We will add this to our
    possible enhancements list.

I did a quick test with lines and borders as you mentioned and they
seemed to line up and appear the same thickness. Can you send me a
simple template report that demonstrates this disparity in border lines
and TppLines? Send the example in .zip format to
    support@digital-metaphors.com.

    Hi Niko,

Thanks for adding my suggestion to the list.

In regards to the lines - when viewed on the screen at 100% they appear
to be OK, but when printed (or when viewed at 200% in the preview, or
exported to PDF) the problem shows itself.

I will send an email to support with a template.

    Best Regards

    Adam.

    Hi Niko,

Sorry - I think I may have found the problem.

I was confused between the tppline's border property, and the tppline's
    weight property.

All looks to be fine. Sorry for the trouble.

    Best Regards

    Adam.
