DADE runtime variables?

Is there a way to create a custom report and pass variables to the SQL code
at runtime? For example, a customer wants a special vendor payment history
for a range of dates. You write the report for them for this month. Then
next month, the date range changes. You can edit the SQL code but that's
clumsey for the end user.

Is there a way to pass variables to the SQL code to modify the script at
runtime?

Thanks,

    Hi Bill,

This can be done very easily using AutoSearch. You can make any search
criteria created in the Query Designer into an AutoSearch field by simply
clicking the AutoSearch checkbox. For some examples of using AutoSearch
fields with DADE, take a look at the ReportExplorer demo located in the
    \RBuilder\Demos\3. End User\1. Report Explorer\... directory. Take a look
at the 01. AutoSearch\Between: Amount Paid and 01. AutoSearch\Greater Than:
Sale Date demos. Your users can adjust the search values from the preview
window by clicking the magnifying glass at the top.
