Printing to text file problem

edited April 2003 in End User
Dear RB support staff,

I am having a problem printing a report to a text file. The report consists
of a master data pipeline and a slave data pipeline. The slave data
pipeline contains information from documents (RTF documents, text documents,
etc.). The report preview is correct and appears as follows:

master data
documents

master data
documents

The report, after being printed to text file, appears as follows:

master data

master data

documents

documents

To summarize the problem, the slave data is being disassociated from the
master data. In the text file, all of the master data is printed, and then
all of the slave data is printed. The order of data that appears in the
report preview is not maintained. Can you please help me with this? I am
using ReportBuilder 6.03 enterprise edition. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Derek

Subreports are not supported when printing to text file. Try joining the
data together to create a single dataset to print inside of one groupedstyle
report if you want to print data together in the text file. The other option
is to print to the report emulation text file device and instead of the text
    file device.
