Force last record in detail
Hi all,
Scenario:
End user solution, D5 RB 7.03.
A report with a subreport, classic master-detail relationship.
Customer wants to see only the last inserted record in the detail.
For now I created a view on the detail table to select only the last
(max(date)) view.
Then I inserted this view in the report, joining it with the original
detail table.
Are there any better solution?
I looked also into RAP events. Is it possible to issue a (kind of)
DatasetDetail.Last instruction in the before print of the master band
(to force one record by code)?
Thanks in advance
Bye
Nicola

There is no functionality in RB that will help you with this. I think your
current approach sounds like a good one.
