Pdf/a
Hi,
I need to generate pdf/a compliant documents preferably using ReportBuilder.
I downloaded the trial for wPDF from WPCubed who has support for creating
pdf/a documents from within ReportBuilder but it never did pass as
pdf/a-document when I checked the files with Adobe Acrobat preflight. I took
the error report back to WPCubed but haven't heard back from them since
(it's been more than a week). I also sent an email to gnostice (since they
had info on their website that the next version of their product will
include support for pdf/a) but I haven't heard back from them either.
My question is; could the built in pdf-generator from ReportBuilder be used
to generate pdf/a? If not, does anybody have any idea where I could turn?
Thanks,
Lars

The built-in PDF device in ReportBuilder does not currently support the
PDF/a standard. I believe the thrid prarty plugin Gnostice officially
supports exporting PDF file with this standard. We will consider adding
this option to the PDF device for a later release.

yet. The problem is that I need it now.
Thanks,

Unfortunately we do not know of any other third party components that
support PDF/A. You may still be able to create PDF files using the PDF/A
specifications using a third party component such as Gnostice however the
PDF/A metadata will be missing.
