RB 11 & Advantage 9 - D2007

edited October 2008 in DADE
Hi Guys,

I am trying to install the rbAds1111 into RB11. I have ADS v 9 instaled, all
into D2007.

It builds Ok and has added adsd2007.dcp OK but when I go to install it it
tells be "A class named TAdsQuery already exists."

Per Nico's suggestion in the end-user NG I have ensured all residual evidence
of past versions have been purged, yet I still get the error.

Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

Regards & TIA,

Ian

    Hi Ian,

Sorry for the delay. I finally got a version of Advantage 9.0 on my machine
and was able to successfully build and install the rbAds1111 package. I'm
unsure why you would be getting this error. One item to note, I needed to
change the requires clause of the rbAds111.dpk file to inclulde
    Adsd2007studio rather than Adsd70.

    Hi Nico,

Sorry for not closing this. I too found the problem. When i deleted the
adsd70 package from the rbads111.dpk and re-built it, it picked up the
    adsd2007.dcp rather than the adsd2007studion.dcp.

Had my head scratching untill I got a resource from ModelMaker that allowed me
to see all the instances of TAdsQuery and realize that the only other one was
adsd2007studion and therefore it was confused.

I deleted the adsd2007.dcp and re-built the .dpk and it picked up the 'studio'
.dcp fine and all was well.

This final determination and resolution happened last night.

Thanks for the follow-up, much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Ian
