Query designer loses filter

We have a report that is linked to a database table, our consultants can then create reports based on the data in this table. But it seems when they add a filter to this data within the report, and then if they manually select a few records in this table, the report loses the filter.

So here is where we put a simple filter and this works, it only shows records in the report with status 7.


But when we manually select a few records in the table and then open this report, this filter is lost.

I am unclear about how you are manually selecting records. This is not a built-in function of ReportBuilder/DADE. In DADE (Data Tab), the search criteria is used to select certain records. If specific records need to be selected, additional search criteria must be added or removed.

If you are perhaps selecting records from a DBGrid connected to a TDataset on a form (which is also connected to a report), note that this is completely separate from any DADE datasets.
