Is it possible to put a button on the Preview to call a cross-tab edit for temporaere edit, if a crosstab is placed on the report? if so, how could it be done? i found no doc to that feature.
for what is the new announced features of crosstab.edit in 6.x? Anyway, it would be great to give the nonepower enduser the possibility to change crosstab directly from the preview without saving the report. Only to change onthefly and to print.
The Crosstab.Edit method was added because there was no way to launch the crosstab designer, other than choosing it from the popup menu on the crosstab. Now, you can add a menu option in the designer to lauch the crosstab designer for the crosstab that exists in the report.
I think your question is if we could build a fully editable preview, whereby the user can change the output before it is printed, to correct spelling mistakes or irregularities in the data..., without having to reenter the data in the db to print the report that the boss needs 10 minutes ago. We've had this on the todo list and would certainly be a cool feature.
Wow! Hope you will have time enough to build in all that funny feature. RB is the coolest product anyway, but you know: "the more you give, the more the users wont"... :-))
