Problem w/ TeeChart 55 and RB 6 for D5

Hi All,

I'm having problems upgrading to RB6. I followed the directions in the
TeeChart doc to install TeeChart 55 support. I have all of the required
packages, etc.

When I try to add the dclRBC55.bpl package to Delphi, I get the following
error : 'The procedure entry point @Ppmetab@initialization$qqrv could not
be located in the dynamic link library rbRCL55.bpl'...then next message
follows...'cannot load package dclRBC55.bpl'

Looking the packages, I can see TeeChart4 Components, TeeChart4 for Open GL,
TeeChart4 for QuickReport and TeeChartPro4 Components.

What am I doing wrong? Also, why do the packages say TeeChart4 if it
supposed to be TeeChart55????

I realize that maybe the older version of TeeChart was the problem, so I
upgraded my packages etc, but I am still having the same problem.

If you see TeeChart 4 in Delphi's Components list, then you have TeeChart 4
installed. So, you have TeeChart 5 installed, now? Once TeeChart 5 is
successfully installed, you should be able to install RB, and the
installation program will automatically detect the latest version of
TeeChart installed and install the proper RB TeeChart wrapper package.

I would uninstall RB and make sure you can load Delphi with a correct
installation of TeeChart 5. Then move forward with installing RB6.

Actually, my teechart packages end in 55 where the documentation says they
should end in 45, but, the packages are installed, working properly and come
up in the package inspector as TeeChart Pro v5.

I've tried reinstalling RB and rebuilding the packages as described...what
am I doing wrong?

You should see a listing in the Component | Install Packages list for
'ReportBuilder TeeChart 5 Components.' The correctly installed bpls for 'RB
TeeChart 5 Components' should end in 55x.

Yep...I see it...thought it is unchecked...as soon as I try to enable it, it
throws the following error :

The procedure entry point @Teedbedit@OnGetDesignerNames could not be located
in the dynamic link library TeeDB55.bpl.

Also, please see my 'related' post in EndUser group if at all possible,
because I am having major problems w/ this upgrade. I haven't been able to
support my users all day.
