Installation with TeeChart (Delphi6)

I've installed TeeChart 5.02 for Delphi 6. Now when I want to install
ReportBuilder, the Checkbox to install TeeChart support is grayed. What can
I do to install both components.

I was told that digital-metaphores are working on supporting it. They say that
thay don't support it yet because it is a pre-release.

The bad thing is that I asked them before I bought TeeChart pro if The
Combination Delphi6 Teechart pro and RBuilder 6 should work and they answered
yes...

It seems like this was a big lie.

What I mean is that they don't support it because TeeChart pro for delphi 6 is a
pre-release and they don't support pre-releases. The bad thing is that there is
only pre-relöeases of TeeChart pro for delphi 6.

So I hope they do it quick because I really need it too... and a message to
d-m....

update the message 'Resolving Compile Error w\TeeChart' under
'digital-metaphors.public.reportbuilder.tech-tips' saying

1. Build your project with packages.

2. Purchase TeeChart Pro from www.teemach.com

What makes me angry is that they answer that they support it when I send e-mail
and ask them.

For me it seems like I have wasted 3 weeks of devloping if the don't support it
real soon.

It's not sot fun to have a deadline and have to wait for d-m to support
something they already told me should work.

Heres the response from TeeChart...


I've checked with digital Metaphors and they said they will support it when
we release final version. At the moment the only solution (if you want to
use TC 5.01 and RB 6) is to recompile Report Builder source code with
TeeChart 5.01 installed on your machine. Of course, this will only work if
you have Report Builder source code.

The final release version will be available with the TeeChart 5.02
maintenance release. This should happen by the end of September 2001.

We were thrown off by the fact that TeeChart advertises their latest version
for Delphi 6 as a pre-release. Since, it appears that the TeeChart
'pre-release' is being used in production, we have begun the process of
adding support for it in an upcoming RB maintenance release. Thankyou, for
your patience.
