Master not printing when detail empty

edited August 2001 in General
I have several nested subreports. The master row will not print if no rows
exist for any of the subreports. How do I fix this?

Thanks

    There is a reports NoDataBehavior. You may want to check that.

    Hi Ed,

    Further debugging shows that the 4th level detail is causing the problem.

    I have Master -> Detail1 -> Detail2 -> Detail3-> Detail4
    -> Detail1a

    Detail1 and Detail1a are details of the Master.

    Each detail is a subreport on the parent's detail band.

    Everything prints correctly until I add Detail4, then if Detail4 is empty,
    Detail1 through Detail4 do not print.

    Any ideas?

    Using RB 6.01 in D6, I put 4 subreports in a report and set the bottom one
    to an empty dataset and the first three printed just fine. The pipelines
    were set to skip the master when no detail records existed.
    Can you send a working demo project to support@digital-metaphors.com?

    Jim,

    Thanks, I found the problem on a thread in the ...end-user forum. The
    daLinkDataViewDlg display is corrupted when using Large Fonts and I can't
    get access to the radiobuttons. This is a show-stopper for us. Can you or
    Nard respond to that thread,

    Nard's fixing the dialog, as we speak, to handle the large fonts.
