Multiple load/unload of HPBAFD32.DLL

edited August 2001 in General
Using RB5 - Is there any way to stop the multiple load / unload of this DLL
the first time you view a report.
This behaviour is slowing down the display to a crawl the first time a
report is shown.
Second and subsequent reports do not exhibit this behaviour.

I would believe that your printer driver is responsible for doing that--hp
printer, right? I don't think RB's product directly ties into the printer
    driver.

That would make sense to me, however why then does it not happen the second
    time a report is viewed?

ReportBuilder talks to the driver to ge tprinter information so that it can
generate. You can control when the initialization occurs by calling
Report.Printer.Initialize (only in V6.01) when you can cause this to execute
while your app loading, ie. while the splash screen is shown or while you
app is idle before any reports are run.
